Today was a fun fun day cause we got to go to Akagera National Park to see some wild animals! Had to be up and leaving by 5am so we could get there at a decent time to see the animals. It was a 3 hour drive. It was an emotional light day which was nice after some intense ones. All in all we saw Water Buffalo, Tsessebe, Caribou, Zebra, Giraffe, Warthogs, Hippo, Baboons, and gazelle. I had never been surrounded by so many animals before. And what was even cooler was that they were out in the open with us. There were no cages or barriers like a zoo. Blocking our way sometimes would be zebra, and others we were surrounded by a group of giraffes. The drive back was a little uncomfortable because it was either a sauna in the van or attacked by flies that bit. We took the sauna till we couldn't anymore. But all in all it was a great time! We were pooped and went right to bed when we got back.
